As stocks of manufactured safety masks dwindle, more organizations are turning to home made alternatives and are looking for community support. Home made masks are not equivalent to quality controlled and tested products, but some organizations are finding them useful.
And we’d like to help.
We’re making simple masks that require cotton fabric, a little bit of moldable wire and not much else.
If you have basic sewing skills, let us know if you want to help.
If you don’t have the skills, but have materials you are willing to donate (cotton material, moldable wire, sewing elastic), let us know and we will catalogue what resources are available.
Let us know if you are interested and able to help with this project. We can get you the pattern we are using and can put you in touch with others who have been working on prototypes.
