This week’s Main Idea: “Fully Engaged Followers”

Big Idea: Not every dream becomes a reality, but no major accomplishment has ever come about without someone dreaming it. The CN tower wasn’t created overnight, nor was it developed by accident. The tower lived in the mind of its designer, and then in the drafters and directors, and finally in the hearts and hands of the foremen and crews who led the construction.
At Brookside we believe God is calling us to something that is even more inspiring that the CN tower. We believe that God is calling us to reach thousands of people across Ottawa West and help them become fully engaged followers of Jesus. Our vision, which we will unfold over the coming year, includes multiple sites serving strategic communities, and a fully developed home site with room for more, but the vision all starts here, with a dream of us becoming and helping others become fully engaged followers of Jesus

Scripture: Mark 12:30-31; Philippians 3:8-14, John 13:34-35; Mark 10:43-45, 2 Timothy 4:1-5; 1 Peter 3:15-16

Read John 13:34-35 and Mark 10:43-45.
The passage in John 13 is one of the key paragraphs in the New Testament. How are we supposed to treat other believers? How does this connect with Mark 12:30-31?
How are we to present ourselves to our world?
What does Mark 10 tell us about what it means to be a leader in the church?
Does this apply only to leaders?

Read 2 Timothy 4:1-5 and 1 Peter 3:15-16.
